We have new dates for VIRTUAL LUNAFEST 2023

Please mark your calendars with our new dates for our 12th LUNAFEST.

We recently found out the film festival needs to viewed before June of this year, so we are getting in just under the wire by scheduling Memorial Day Weekend. A great time to have fun and watch the films on the holiday extended weekend.

Mark your calendars! Save the date May 28 and 29 for Zonta Berkeley's VIRTUAL LUNAFEST 2023! As always it will be great!

This year's film festival highlights women as leaders in society, illustrated through seven short films by and about women... a program of short films that empower and inspire.

This year's films amplify the inspiring short films by a selection of women and gender nonconforming directors. The featured filmmakers are from all walks of life and range from poets to conservationists, activists, and educators. These stories remind us that when we come together, we all move forward.

Films feature strong women, powerful images, and impactful language. Stories reflect the diverse perspectives of the filmmakers and their subjects. We recommend age 13+ for the 2023 season films.

WOMEN AND GIRLS

Dear Friends,

As you may know, the Berkeley/North Bay and Beyond club of ZONTA INTERNATIONAL provides financial and hands-on support to many women and girls locally and internationally. Our Bay Area projects have provided much needed services to our local community. Examples of these projects and services include: scholarships for local girls to participate in science camps, music camps, softball teams, and literacy programs; scholarships for women with interests in aeronautics, business, and public affairs; support to young women leaving the foster care system, older women facing Alzheimer’s disease, and displaced women and their children seeking a new start.

In short, we support and nourish our community in many tangible ways.
