Our Instagram post for Amelia's Birthday.

This week with the we celebrate Amelia’s achievements as we enjoy and have fun with the new release of the Barbie movie.
Every July Zonta International celebrates Amelia’s Birthday! Amelia was an early Zontian joining the organization in the 1930’s. In honor of Amelia Earhart’s achievements and involvement in women’s advancement, Zonta International established the Amelia Earhart Fellowship in 1938, which annually awards $10,000.00 each to up to thirty women in pursuit of a P.h.D/doctoral degree in aerospace engineering and space sciences.
Amelia was such an inspiring and remarkable woman that the most famous doll manufacturer with the highest brand recognition in the world elected decided to have her as one of their special dolls, the Amelia Earhart Aviator Barbie® introduced in 2018.
